BEN LOETERMAN Writer/Director
Ben Loeterman writes, directs and produces historical and public affairs documentaries, primarily for public television. He’s worked for PBS’s flagship current affairs series FRONTLINE from its inception in 1982. In 1996 he founded Ben Loeterman Productions, Inc., WWW.BLPI.TV. BLPI has contributed three programs to the PBS history series, AMERICAN EXPERIENCE. Loeterman has won national Emmy awards for directing and investigative journalism, and is the recipient of two duPont-Columbia journalism awards.


Laura Longsworth has played significant roles in the making of nearly a dozen documentaries for PBS. She has produced two films for AMERICAN EXPERIENCE and, before that, served as associate producer on two productions for FRONTLINE. Longsworth also produced and directed Luckey, about a family coping with a devastating accident, for broadcast on the Sundance Channel.

Steve Oney is the author of And the Dead Shall Rise: The Murder of Mary Phagan and the Lynching of Leo Frank, winner of the American Bar Association’s Silver Gavel Award, the Jewish Book Council’s National Jewish Book Award, and the Southern Book Critics Circle prize. And the Dead Shall Rise was also a finalist for the Edgar, awarded by the Mystery Writers of America. Oney, formerly a staff writer for The Atlanta Journal & Constitution Magazine, is a senior editor at Los Angeles magazine.
